Irish Heartbeat with Dervish now on BBC Radio Scotland

You can now listen to the Irish Heartbeat show in the Celtic Zone from BBC Radio Scotland. This week they are featuring the first episode, where Cathy Jordan is joined by singer Tommy Fleming and harpist and singer Cormac De Barra. The zone is a European special and contains a range of other programmes on European music, including archive live sessions with Scandinavian artists Fribo and Djarv, and also the Irish group Lunasa. You can tune in to their internet radio stream by visiting www.bbc.co.uk/radioscotland/zones and clicking on 'Listen to the Celtic Zone', or alternatively visit http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/b00lf4gp to listen via the iPlayer. If you have an internet radio, add the following address to listen to the zone: http://www.bbc.co.uk/radioscotland/zones/rs_zone_celtic.ram. Sweetwood: New solo album from Dervish's Liam Kelly

Dervish 21 years celebration.

Sligo, with its mountains, glens and wind swept Atlantic shore, has long been the source of inspiration for Irish artistry, from the visionary works of W.B. Yeats to the revered music of Michael Coleman. The source remains and the tradition continues, t his year mar king the 20th anniversary of Dervish coming together. Beginning as a group of musicians playing the local tunes of Sligo, over the last twenty years Dervish have broadened their musical vision and with it their devoted audience, which is now worldwide.

Special 21st birthday album release by Dervish

From Stage to Stage is a special new album by Dervish which will be in shops on Monday February 1st. It feature’s live tracks from the Sligo live festival in the band’s home town and the Sebast opol Celtic Festival in California and will include a new DVD by the band. More details to follow soon.

The Irish HeartBeat with Dervish website is now available here. You can check out Dervish's new syndicated radio show which is making a big impact on national public radio in the USA.  As a present to all our fans and friends we are making one of the radio shows available for free.
